I receive various tips/ideas from the following sites and I usually check in on them weekly:

www.coupons.com (online printable coupon database)

--This is the Catalina site; you can print coupons and see what Catalinas are running and where

--If you create an account, you can link your rewards cards--CVS, Kroger, Food Lion, etc and get money back from shopping. Example: Bounty is on sale at CVS 2 for $20 and you get $5 ExtraBucks back. You could use 2 manufacturer coupons when you pay (say $0.25/each) and you will pay you total, and get your $5 back. That's cool. But let's say Savingstar was running a "Buy any $20 worth of Bounty products by [date] and get $5 back. This makes your return $10! Savingstar money is not a 'coupon' and is not taken off or given instantly. Think of it as a rewards program like Kmart/Sears Points, or Staples Ink recycling, or a Subway care where when you reach a certain threshold, you will get your free stuff/money. This is a completely legit thing and you can get paid out in Amazon gift cards or via your bank account. And the above deal was real a few weeks ago. The deals change from month to month and you must "select" the ones you're interested in PRIOR to shopping (it's not retroactive) but it is easy and a good way to save money.

--I am a BZZAgent. I know the name sounds funny, but essentially, I get compensated for trying products by receiving them FREE or deeply discounted. Some items (like wine) are not free up front but will be after a rebate, but for the most part, I get to try things like Dr. Scholl's, Private Selection foods, and health/beauty items for free in return for an honest review and sharing my opinion with others. This is also completely legit and are really good way to get to try products you may be interested in but don't want to pay for yet and also, high value coupons! It is a FREE program and you just have to agree to do the work (like write reviews, share on Facebook or Twitter, or word of mouth) and of course, pick the stuff up in the store.

Target Mobile # is 827438

--You can text various key words to this number and it will enroll you automatically to receive the subsequent coupons available

*I also frequently check the Kroger, Food Lion, CVS, and Target websites. I have an account with Kroger, Food Lion, and CVS and as such I get specialized coupons from them. Typically, email is their preferred method and what you will need to sign up but linking your store loyalty card will be recommended too.

I do use other larger sites (like Krazy Coupon Lady) daily, but I've come to the conclusion that I much prefer to keep things smaller scale and I am still on the search for any other coupon bloggers in the Roanoke area. The only ones I have found seemed to 'go away' after about 2011, and nothing I find is current. If you know of anything, please share!!!
